Grillin at the Gate - More Info

The Town of Gate City has a new festival on tap for Saturday, September 8, 2012.  The event will feature live music from rock to bluegrass, so there's a musical style for everyone to enjoy!  There may even be an Elvis sighting!  Little grillers will have the opportunity to enjoy Pigler Corner full of children's events to please the entire family. 

Now, let's talk about some good healthy competition!  BBQ vendors from around our region will battle it out for their chance to be "Best of" four categories: chicken, ribs, pork and sauce in order to win the coveted cleaver trophy!  Various food vendors will be set up as well, so if BBQ isn't your think, we've got you covered!  A Beer Garden will be designated with breweries from around the region in a specific ocation during hte festival with drink limits and security.

2012 Bush Mill Days - More Info

Bush Mill Days will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Bush Mill in Nickelsville, VA. The festival began in 1990 and has been a wonderful annual event ever since! The historic mill will be operational for this event allowing visitors to experience a working mill! The festival centers on the historic mill and the process of grinding the corn meal. Meal is ground on-site and is available for puchase to visitors for a donation. Try your hand at stirring apple butter! Molasses making is on tap for this year as well. Crafts will be sold at this event. Country and Gospel music will be provided for entertainment all day. You'll even have a chance to win a door prize! So, head on out to Bush Mill to see the beautiful water wheel!
