The goal of the Freedom Festival is to provide a quality event that promotes patriotism, history, the local Appalachian culture, musical entertainment, vendors and fireworks.  

ALL musical entertainment is FREE.   Music will be provided on Friday and Saturday.  The festival starts on Friday evening at 6:00 pm & ends at 10:00 pm.  All Friday events are located at the Richlands Police Dept. area.   Events start on Saturday at 9:00 am and are set up at the Richlands Police Dept. area and on Front Street, Second Street, Norfolk Avenue and Suffolk Avenue.  Vendor spaces are available with and without electricity. 

  • The Freedom Festival 5K Run/Walk is June 20, 2015, at 8:00 am at the Richlands Police Dept.

The Annual Freedom Festival will be held for the third year and run two days,  Friday and Saturday, June 26th and 27th.   Activities planned include free musical entertainment.  Friday - Marty Raybon & Gal Friday.  Saturday - Christy Lynn, The Horn Family, Jimmy Rose, & Ken Mellons.  There will also be Vendors and Artisans.  Other entertainment includes Loop Rawlins, Wild West Entertainer, History Characters, Motorcycle Show, Cruise-In, Quilt Show, and Photo Contest.  Fireworks will conclude the event at 10pm.

Enjoy a summer's eve listening to traditional bluegrass music at the amphitheater. Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to cut a rug. The opening group will be selected from the Pickin' in the Park series. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Children 12 and younger are free. The annual Cedar Bluff Heritage Festival has an exciting line-up of musical performances that will entertain festival goers from three stages, and many artists, craftsmen, antique dealers and food vendors will fill the historic downtown area. Cedar Bluff will begin the celebration on Friday evening before the festival with music, food, and more, all located at the Cedar Bluff Fire Station on Cedar Valley Drive.

The 2015 festival will again highlight the rich heritage of Cedar Bluff.  Always the third Saturday in September, the Cedar Bluff Heritage Festival attracts thousands of visitors and 200 vendors each year. Vendors are encouraged to pre-register to obtain exhibit space.
