Cuz's restaurant, famous for its food since 1979, now has two new cedar log cabins. Both cabins have indoor hot tubs, woodburning fireplaces, and king size beds. Prices for two people are $135 for the one-bedroom and $160 for the two-bedroom cabin. The cost includes two full breakfasts brought to you in the morning. There is a charge of $30 for each additional guest. A beautiful and secluded outdoor pool built on the hillside is open in the summer months, as well as two clay tennis courts. Guests often comment that it's paradise and that they don't want to leave. Cuz's restaurant is in a renovated dairy barn and serves up pit-smoked prime rib, fresh grilled fish, truffle-stuffed wood-fired chicken, and Thai curry. Locals and tourists flock here alike. Live bluegrass most Saturdays. Open March to November, Wed through Sat, 3PM - 9PM.

The Southwest Virginia Museum features a collection comprised of more than 20,000 pieces, about a third of which are on display at any given time. The museum chronicles the exploration and development of the region during the 1890s coal boom, as well as the pioneer period. It offers activities for kids, scout and school programs, workshops, an annual Festival of Trees program, a quilt show, a music festival and outdoor exhibits.
The museum's Poplar Hill Cottage is the perfect mountain getaway. The quaint, garden-themed cottage is furnished with reproduction pieces. It has three bedrooms, two full baths, a kitchen and an ample living area. The cottage sleeps up to six people. The cottage has a microwave, refrigerator, oven, dishes, cooking utensils, silverware, kitchen towels and glassware. Towels and linens, including mattress covers, pillows, blankets, sheets and pillow cases, are also included. There's no phone, but most cell phones work here. A TV and DVD player are included.

Take Exit 57B, I-181N towards Kingsport
I-181N becomes US-23N to Gate City
