Ah, the romance of Lavender! So began Scott County Lavender.
The farm is located on the banks of the Clinch River in Dungannon, Virginia.
Presently, the farm has five varieties of Lavender and Pat plans to add different varieties each year. All of the Lavender is grown organically. They also grow eight varieties of rose scented geraniums. Any herb that is grown at Scott County Lavender, will be a compliment to the lavender oil when it is distilled into essential oil and hydrosol. The lavender is dried and distilled in the old tobacco barn.
Scott County Lavender has developed a line of products made with the Lavender grown on the farm. Pat and her family have learned to enjoy and appreciate the valuable properties of Lavender and that is also their desire for you.

Mike Alford, local award winning photographer, is retired from a career in law enforcement. Opening this shop allowed him to pursue a life-long interest in photography that began in high school.
Using digital photography, he tries to capture the beauty of the area. He uses vibrant colors, shadows, and different reflections as his source of inspiration to create the perfect photograph. Additonally, he has won various awards in festivals throughout the surrounding area. His photos can be found displayed in various businesses in the area.
