Davenport/Council Octoberfest

The Davenport/Council Octoberfest is held annually on the second weekend in October at the William P. Harris Recreation Park in Council, Virginia. This year’s event features a pumpkin carving contest, kids games, and vendors. Live music begins Friday with The Pastime Band at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the musical lineup begins at 10 a.m. and will feature All For Him, Diane & Mildred, Bob & Laurie Smallwood, Steppin’ Out On Faith, New Harvest Brothers, Eddie Street, Servants Heart, Michael Combs, Kevin Wilson, DCB Band, James Meadows, and Cody Elswick and The False Teeth. Plus, the Annual Kiwanis Car Show will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, featuring antique, classic, and modern cars, trucks, motorcycles, rat-rods, non-streets and work-in-progresses.
