As our modern-day fades, journey through the history of southwest Virginia on your first day hike. This one-mile, moderate, ranger led program will feature a variety of stops allowing park guests to experience the fabled buffalo trace, the majesty of a Native American town, the refuge of a frontier community, and the closing of America’s first frontier. For those who wish to hike separately, or at a different time, a self-guided brochure will be available in the Visitor’s Center and the parking lot kiosks.
The guided hike will depart from the Visitor’s Center at 1:00 p.m.
