Take a step back in time, over 200 years ago, with the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail. See, touch, taste, and smell what fall offers settlers. Members of the Association will be dressed in period attire providing on-going demonstrations that guests can take part in. The demonstrations include leaning how clothing was made from breaking flax to spinning wool. See how candles were made from bees wax. Watch and smell what three sister stew is and how the bread oven is used. If it is cool outside, stand by the fire of the salt pot and maybe you will have an opportunity stir the pot. Do not forget to hang-out with the Blacksmith to see his new creation. Find out what the settlers used for blankets as the long hunter shows you how to tan a hide. This is a great program for families.
