Lake Keokee Loop Trail – FT #402

Lake Keokee is about 11 miles east of the Town of Appalachia. The 3.7 mile trail around the 92 acre lake can be used for hiking, biking, fishing, and wildlife watching.  It is a moderately easy hike at an elevation of 2200 ft. There is an approximate 1 mile spur off the lake trail that leads to the Stone Mountain Trail at Olinger Gap.

Directions:
From Appalachia, take Alternate US58 southwest 1 mile to VA68, turning right onto VA68 and travel west 7 miles where VA68 becomes VA606 in Lee County. Continue 2 miles to VA623, turn left and go 1 mile further to the lake.
