3. Natural Tunnel State Park

More than 850 feet long and 10 stories high, this “Eighth Wonder of the World” was naturally carved into the limestone ridge over thousands of years. It is truly a place of wonder, where the silence is deafening and the sheer rock faces that surround you are otherworldly. Hike from your cabin, located within the park, and descend by trail or by chairlift to the tunnel viewing platform, where an active rail line still emerges from the tunnel.

4. Foxtail Orchards

Located directly on Back of the Dragon, Foxtail Orchards offers cozy cabins with a personal touch. Watch the sunset sink low over the mountains at the end of the day, or drive into the nearby town of Tazewell for a true small town experience, with locally owned restaurants, brewery, shopping, and more.
