The winery at MountainRose Vineyards in Wise is a true hidden gem. The vineyard itself affords the classic, picturesque view of rows and rows of grape vines and apple trees spread evenly across lazy, rolling hills. Throughout the spring and into the fall, rose bushes are bursting with color at the periphery of each row. And a quiet, little pond takes up residence at the base of the hill. Vincent’s Vineyards

Tucked away on a veiled farm in downtown Lebanon, Vincent’s Vineyard delivers one of the most delightful entrances to a winery in the region. Drive right alongside those iconic grape vines, and Vincent’s winery is just around the corner. Take a step inside and a large, richly varnished bar has room for everyone in your party. Enjoy a tasting indoors or outside on the patio, where you might catch the distant sounds of Melody Acres Farm’s Katahdin sheep. Bring a picnic basket, take a stroll, and make a whole day of it! Plum Creek Winery

Just off Tazewell County’s famous Back of the Dragon motorcycle and sports car route, Plum Creek Winery offers a rustic wine-tasting experience like no other. Located on a working family farm, guests are asked to call ahead before arriving. However, once you do, Plum Creek’s welcoming, Southern charm is unsurpassed. Chat at the bar or take your glass outside. Slow down and take in the sounds of the farm from the comfort of a rocking chair. Offering the largest variety of wines in the region, Plum Creek Winery’s sweet, fruity assortments are beloved throughout the area.
