Join in a fun time! The day starts with the Chasin’ Red Fox Trail Race on Pine Mountain at 9 am. See runtricities.org for a registration form. Gather at Pound Town Hall at noon for stories by authors with their books available, music, food and more! Hike to the Killing Rock at 6 pm for the story of the 1892 massacre! It will be a ghostly evening at the Rock!

Join the Historic Crab Orchard Museum as they celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season in true pioneer fashion on Friday, Dec. 6, the Museum Center and Pioneer Park will be full of holiday cheer and ringing with music and song from 6 to 9 p.m.!
There will be hot apple cider and delicious homemade cookies, costumed interpreters and demonstrators, a Christmas craft in the Red Barn, and even a visit from Santa Claus himself! You can finish up your holiday shopping (or maybe just get started) with discounts in the Museum Gift Shop. Local authors will be on site to sign books and visit with guests. Be sure to come by and see them! There’s so much to see and do at the Museum – you won’t want to miss it!
