It all began with a couple of goats…

In 2013, after serving over 21 years in the Marine Corps, it was time for Joseph Bates to retire from duty. He, his wife, and kids moved to the heart of the Appalachian Mountains and started their new adventure with a couple of goats for milk and cheese. They found their goats were quickly multiplying and they had an overabundance of milk, so they started making some soaps and lotions to use up the excess. They found their niche!  It wasn’t long before their product line grew in popularity and may be found in retail businesses throughout the Commonwealth and beyond! Every single drop of goodness that comes out of this business has touched their hands first, and they put all the love in the world into it.
