Tazewell Train Station

Tazewell County Historical Society and the Town of Tazewell partnered to restore and re-open the Tazewell Train Station & Visitors Center! The station is one of only two remaining depots along the Clinch Valley line. View exhibits featuring the history of the depot and area, see a model rail display and other educational exhibits, gather brochures to help plans for both stay-cations and vacations, and stop by the unique gift shop for a great selection of novelties, books and more! There is no entry fee to view exhibits – fun and informational for all ages.

For information on renting the depot for a special event, contact the Town of Tazewell at (276) 988-2501. The meeting room has seating for 80 people and the facility has 10 six-foot rectangle tables and 80 chairs. The Visitor’s Center is open to the public until 4pm so if you prefer a private event, schedule your event after 4pm.
