Friday, July 10: Local Favorites & Legendary Sounds

The Fiddlers’ Convention kicks off in style on Friday night with a full evening of live music in the cool mountain air! Start the evening with two of Tazewell’s favorite acts: The Richard Cole Tribute Band, celebrating the legacy of one of the region’s most beloved musicians, and 67 North, known for their energetic blend of traditional bluegrass and contemporary influences.

Headlining the evening are The Bluegrass Kinsmen, one of Southwest Virginia’s premier bluegrass groups. Known for their tight harmonies, exceptional musicianship, and authentic bluegrass sound, The Bluegrass Kinsmen have delighted audiences throughout the region for years. Their engaging stage presence and dedication to preserving traditional bluegrass music make them the perfect finale to an unforgettable evening.

Saturday at the Tazewell County Old Time & Bluegrass Fiddlers’ Convention is a full day of music, competition, and celebration of our Appalachian heritage.

Honoring Our Musical Heritage

Following the presentation of the 2026 awards, Lifetime Achievement honorees will gather on stage for a moving performance of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”
