Phillips Creek Recreational Area offers a great get-away. With a beach area and picnic shelters on Pound Reservoir, you’re within walking distance to Cane Patch Campground, all part of the Jefferson National Forest.

The Phillips Creek Loop Trail is a self-guided trail with many attractions along the way such as an old still site, a waterfall along a high sandstone cliff, and an old Indian hunting camp. The trail is approximately 1.3 miles long and easy to hike with slopes less than 20%.
