Russell Theater

The Russell Theater has been a part of the fabric of Main Street Lebanon since around 1930. With its old-fashioned ticket window and marquee, it served as a beacon of the town’s heyday through its final screening in the early 1990s. After nearly 30 years since its closure, the 3,232-square-foot theater saw the start of renovations in 2020. Renovations have included interior and exterior rehabilitation, as well as replacement of theater seating, sound and projection equipment, and various fixtures that will soon transform the downtown mainstay into the iconic venue it once was. With its revitalization nearly complete, the Russell Theater will serve as a multi-use facility with events and performances bringing new life to the downtown once again.
