Bent Creek Farm – Nickelsville

Bent Creek Farm was established in 1990 by Eddie and Robin Skeen near Copper Creek which is thought to be the site of one of the earliest Clinch Valley settlements in Scott County. Bazel Boren, who traveled with Daniel Boone in 1773 while blazing the Wilderness Trail and fought with local frontiersmen to defeat the British at the Battle of King’s Mountain in 1780, returned to Copper Creek to establish Boren’s Fort which is thought to be located on the current day Bent Creek Farm property.
